Yesterday, Dallas got hit with a big ice storm. School was cancelled and there went our Easter Break. I am glad that we didn't have to drive on the ice, but will miss having Good Friday off in April! I did some laundry, caught up on some t.v. and later in the afternoon, I went to see Jensen. (By the afternoon, all the roads had melted.) I took a cute video of Jensen that I will load later. I also downloaded some new cd's to my ipod and wrote back and forth to my other teacher friends on Facebook. There were a few icy patches on bridges this morning, but I am
back to school today.

My Weekend

I had such a nice, and relaxing weekend. My sister's family were all visiting the Raquet's for Patty's birthday, so after Chuck finished some studying, we drove up to Allen to check out the new Vera Bradely store. They have their new spring fabrics out.
I found a tech case in this happy floral print for my new camera.
The pattern is called Hope's Garden a part of the proceeds goes towards Breast Cancer awareness. We ran around town to finish a few errands and then stopped by my parent's house for a nice visit and a glass of wine.
I have been so upset since my favorite restaurant closed down. The Plano Tavern had the best burgers and we have been looking for a burger to match it. Down the street from my parent's house is a new burger joint that just opened up. Chuck and I went in to check it out. It is called Kenny's Burger Joint. It was crowed, so we ordered our cheeseburgers to go. It was delicious! I am so happy to find another tasty burger.
Now it is Sunday, and I have been watching my rented movies. I watched Atonement and Sex in the City- the movie. And that is my idea of a pretty perfect weekend!

My Day Off

I had such a nice day off on Monday for MLK Day. Karen and I met up at Willowbend Mall to go shopping with Jensen. All the sales associates fawned over how cute Jensen was...he just smiled and acted shy. Karen and I used our gift certificates to each buy a coach wristlet. Karen chose a khaki brown and gold one and I chose black. Then we went to the playground so Jensen could run around for a little bit. The playground was really crowded and I couldn't handle it...so I went to Brighton instead! After our shopping spree we had lunch at one of our favorite Tex-Mex places called Abuelos. I had the enchiladas- YUM-O! Then Mike stayed at home while Jensen napped and Karen and I headed back out to do more shopping. That is a perfect day in my book!

Stomach Flu
While we were in Houston celebrating Harrison's first birthday, we were struck down with the stomach virus. It took a full 6 days to recover. My team mates at school were amazing and did all my sub plans. I am happy to be eating real food again, but have not had the energy to do much else. Birthday pics are coming...just give me a little more time to get up to speed:)

Malfunction
Poor Chuck! He was so excited about getting me this perfect gift. I had over 100 photos taken from Christmas and seeing the whole Palmer family...and he hit the wrong button and erased ALL of the pictures...soooo no pictures this year from us.
I did take some pictures down in Houston at Harrison's 1st birthday...so we will see if these make it on the next blog.
Happy New Year!
