Last night we had our Sacred Marriage party over at Deanna and Andrew's beautiful house. Danielle made a perfect, golden turkey with cornbread stuffing and everyone else brought appetizers and desserts. Deanna is famous for her yummy sugar cookies. This year, they were snowflakes with a light blue almond frosting and white shimmery sprinkles on top. I made my Beef Chip dip, which everyone enjoyed. My favorite dip of the evening was made by Kelly T. It was an edamame dip with spicy pita chips. I have to get that recipe!
We played some very fun games after we ate. The first one was a wrapping paper race with partners. Chuck and Melissa were teamed up to wrap a present. The hitch was that each of them had one hand tied behind their backs. They did a great job and won! The second game was a Santa winking game. Someone was the Secret Santa. They walked around the room winking at people. Once you were winked at, you had to sit down. If you had a guess, you could ring a little bell and shout out your guess. If you were right, you won...but, if your guess was wrong, you had to sit down and be out. My friend Meredith was the Secret Santa and she was found out pretty quickly...she doesn't like to be the center of attention and her nervous behavior gave her away. The third game was a matching game. Everyone was given slips of papers with different carols typed on them. Once the game started, you were to sing the carol as loud as you could and try to walk around and find your match. That one was hilarious!!!
It was a very fun evening with yummy food and good friends.

Our First Christmas Party of the Season

So I had my first Christmas party of the season this past weekend. It was a fabulous party! My sister's neighbor, Jennifer and I have hung out on several occasions with my sis and I got invited this year to her annual party. I went to grab my camera that I thought was on the charger...turns out that I didn't have it plugged in, so my battery was dead. Another neighbor, Tracey brought her camera and took a few pics that I can post later when she sends it to me.
Jennifer's house is gorgeous! It looked like something right out of a Pottery Barn catalog. She had different food and drink stations set up around the house. Each table was adorned with her best silver and crystal. On the buffet, she had spicy BBQ meatballs, tortellini and olive skewers, an assortment of cheeses and crackers, puff pastries and 2 delicious hot dips. On the dessert table she had this beautiful white cake that looked to have coconut sprinkles, homemade fudge, and several other homemade desserts.
We had good conversations and the time flew by. Her house was so warm and inviting you didn't want to leave! We are going to do a cookie exchange with some of the same girls that I met at the party, including Jennifer...what to make, what to make!!!

Harrison is 11 months

Michelle sent us pics today of Harrison at 11 months. Mom and Dad went to Houston to see them over Thanksgiving break. Mom says that Harrison is starting to crawl and is pulling himself up. He is on the move! Mom says that his hair is starting to curl in the back. Looks like he is going to keep those BIG blue eyes. They melt my heart! I can't wait to see them at Christmas. They will be here the whole week. Another blessing in my life:)

Jensen is 18 months!

Here are some recent pictures of Jensen taken a few weeks ago. Jensen is now 18 months! He is a very active little boy. On Thanksgiving we were over at Uncle Stephen's house and he loved going outside and "crunching" all the leaves. He thought that was hilarious. He knows all his body parts and has really started telling you what he wants shaking his head yes and no. He will also come up to you and grab your hand to lead you to what he wants you to do. He is a blessing! I love the first pic...it cracks me up!
